The Majorcan weather is typically Mediterranean. Because of its privileged position in the Mediterranean, Majorca enjoys an incomparable temperature. Snowfalls are common in winter on the highest peaks of the Sierra de Tramuntana, but exceptional in the plain and the capital.
Like most islands, the wind is a significant factor, affecting the temperature and climate. Temperatures in Majorca begin to rise in April and remain so until October. In summer, the weather in Majorca is hot and dry with an average temperature of 25º. In winter the temperatures are relatively pleasant (average 12º to 13º). There are not many storms in Majorca and, generally, it rains mainly in spring and autumn. The average annual temperature of Majorca is approximately 17º.
